"Carest Thou Not That We Perish?" 💔
You see it all over Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube… families losing their loved ones by the second, the minute, the hour. Violence. Disappearances. Grief.
When I woke up from my sleep, I heard these words heavy in my spirit:
“Carest Thou Not That We Perish?”
At first, I didn’t understand. But I believe the Holy Spirit was stirring something in me—maybe because of what I’ve been through, or maybe as encouragement in this season of rest. The Lord rescued me from dangerous and abusive relationships. And now, I’ve been intentionally absent from relationships for nearly 4 years.
The ones I was in before? They were harmful. They nearly cost me everything. But God… 🙌🏽Now, I’m choosing to rest in Him. I’m not chasing an “everybody’s getting married” kind of love. I want a God-sent man this time.
I was reminded of the passage in Mark 4:35–41, where Jesus and His disciples were in a boat and a violent storm arose. The disciples were terrified while Jesus slept peacefully. In desperation, they woke Him and cried,
“Master, carest thou not that we perish?”
