“Jesus: The Passover Who Still Reigns”
Jesus: Our Passover, the Lamb, the Cornerstone, the Morning Star
OPENING DECLARATION (SET THE TONE)
On this day, we unlock one of the deepest revelations of Jesus Christ —
not just who He was, but who He eternally is.
Jesus is not only the Savior who came —
He is the Passover Lamb,
the Chief Cornerstone,
and the Morning Star,
who stands at the end of time with reward in His hands.
✝️1. JESUS — OUR PASSOVER (THE LAMB)
⭐Scriptural Foundation
1 Corinthians 5:7
“For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.”
John 1:29
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
✨Kingdom Insight
In Exodus, the Passover lamb:
Had to be pure
Had to be without blemish
Had to be killed
Its blood had to be applied
Jesus fulfilled every requirement:
Born without sin
Lived without blemish
Sacrificed willingly
His blood establishes relationship, not religion
➡️ The Passover wasn’t just an event — it was a Person.
✝️ 2. THE LAMB WHO RESTORED RELATIONSHIP
⭐Scriptural Foundation
Isaiah 53:7
“He was led as a lamb to the slaughter…”
Hebrews 9:12
“He entered once for all… by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption.”
✨Kingdom Insight
Jesus didn’t just save us from sin —
He restored us to God.
The Lamb bridged the gap
The sacrifice reopened access
The blood restored intimacy
➡️ The Lamb brought us back into covenant.
✝️3. JESUS — THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE
⭐Scriptural Foundation
Psalm 118:22
“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”
Ephesians 2:20
“Christ Jesus Himself being the chief cornerstone.”
✨Kingdom Insight
A cornerstone:
Aligns the entire structure
Determines stability
Holds everything together
Jesus is:
The foundation of faith
The alignment of truth
The stability of salvation
➡️ Everything built outside of Him collapses.
✝️4. JESUS — THE MORNING STAR
⭐Scriptural Foundation
Revelation 22:16
“I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
✨Kingdom Insight
The Morning Star:
Appears before a new day
Signals transition
Announces light after darkness
Jesus is:
The beginning and the end
The light before eternity dawns
The hope before final glory
➡️ He came as the Lamb — He returns as the King.
✝️5. REWARD IN HIS HAND (REVELATION 22:12)
⭐Scriptural Foundation
Revelation 22:12
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”
✨Kingdom Insight
Jesus does not return empty-handed:
He comes with reward
He comes with justice
He comes with fulfillment
The Lamb who was slain—
returns as the Judge who reigns.
⭐ What Is the Passover?
Clear, powerful, and complete explanation of The Passover — both Old Testament meaning and how it points to Jesus.
The Passover is one of the most important events in the Bible.
It began in Exodus 12, when God delivered Israel from Egypt.
✅ 1. The Historical Meaning (Exodus 12)
God was about to judge Egypt with the final plague — the death of the firstborn.
But He gave Israel a way of escape:
Instructions:
Take a perfect lamb with no defect
Kill the lamb at twilight
Put the blood on the doorposts and the top of the door
Stay inside the house
Eat the lamb roasted with unleavened bread
Promise:
“When I see the blood, I will pass over you.”(Exodus 12:13)
This is where the name Passover comes from —
the death angel passed over every house covered by the blood.
⭐ 2. The Prophetic Meaning
The Passover lamb was a prophecy pointing forward to Jesus Christ.
Why?
Because:
The lamb had to be perfect → Jesus had no sin
The blood protected from judgment → Jesus’ blood saves us
The lamb had to be sacrificed → Jesus died for all
No bone of the lamb could be broken → Jesus’ bones were not broken on the cross
⭐ 3. The New Testament Revelation
In the New Testament, Paul says:
“Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.”
(1 Corinthians 5:7)
John the Baptist said:
“Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
(John 1:29)
Jesus fulfilled every detail of the Passover lamb.
⭐ 4. The Spiritual Meaning for Today
The blood on the door = the blood on your life.
Where the blood is applied, judgment passes over.
The lamb eaten = receiving Christ inside you.
The deliverance from Egypt = God pulling you out of bondage.
The night of death = the night God broke the grip of the enemy.
Passover = Protection, Deliverance, Freedom, and New Beginning.
⭐ 5. The Passover and the Cross
Jesus died during Passover week.
Why?
Because He is the Passover.
The lamb died → so the people could live
Jesus died → so we could have eternal life
The Cross is the ultimate Passover moment, where:
Death passed over us
because the blood was on Him.
CLOSING DECLARATION (SEAL IT)
Jesus Christ is:
Our Passover
Our Lamb
Our Cornerstone
Our Morning Star
He was born to restore relationship.
He was slain to redeem mankind.
He rose to secure eternity.
And He is returning with reward in His hands.
This is not tradition.
This is not symbolism.
This is Kingdom revelation.
